The Herbs Hotel Hua Hin, Hua Hin

The hotel is ideally situated right by the sea with stunning views, making it perfect for a low-key getaway. However, the lack of proper maintenance and cleanliness significantly detracts from the overall experience. While the staff was accommodating, communication was a challenge at times, which adds to the frustration. Given the pricing, I expected more in terms of quality and comfort.

The Herbs By The Sea is a unique and laid-back hotel that's a bit removed from the bustling center of Hua Hin. The sea views from the terrace are stunning, but there isn’t a beach directly available. While the rooms have a charming theme, the lack of proper dining options within the hotel was disappointing. Also, the staff is friendly, yet communication can be a bit of a challenge due to limited English skills.

I had a pleasant stay overall, but there were definitely some hits and misses. The hotel was located away from the bustling city center, which provided a peaceful atmosphere, but it also made getting around a bit challenging without a tuk-tuk. The lady running the place was genuinely lovely and attentive. While my room was clean and had decent amenities, it felt somewhat basic for what I paid. The breakfast was simple but sufficient for my needs.

The location is a bit out of the way, but the charming atmosphere and personal touches made it enjoyable. Just keep in mind that transportation into town can be a bit of a hassle and costs some money.

Overall, it offers great value for the price, making it a worthy choice for a getaway.
